What is an Annual Comprehensive Plan Amendment?

The Comprehensive Plan is the City’s official statement regarding its vision for future growth and development over the next 20 years. The Comprehensive Plan is subject to ongoing review and evaluation for consistency. The Growth Management Act limits updates to the plan to once a year in order to allow citizens to have meaningful participation in reviewing any proposed changes.

Applications registered after November 1st of the previous calendar year and before November 1st of the current calendar year shall be included in the annual review. Those registered after November 1st of the calendar year shall be placed on the register for review at the following annual review.

Note: A pre-application conference is required prior to submittal of amendment forms.
