PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

Welcome to the Public Works Department.  We are responsible for the planning, design, construction, repair, maintenance, and operation of the City’s transportation, drainage, and capital improvement projects. We do this through our employees by delivering high quality, cost effective, efficient, and safe services involving public infrastructure and facilities to enhance the quality of life in Spokane Valley.

Our mission is to develop and maintain a safe and appropriate transportation system within our community, to protect the quality of water in the aquifer through effective construction, management, operation, and maintenance of the sanitary sewer and stormwater systems, and to provide quality management of capital projects that are completed on time and within budget.
