Sidewalk Snow Removal
Recently adopted Municipal Code 7.45 requires property owners located within Tier I priority areas to remove all accumulations of snow and ice exceeding 3 inches from adjacent public sidewalks. Tier 1 areas include commercially-zoned areas of the City and Safe Routes to School. The intent of these new regulations is to provide a safer transportation system for pedestrians, including children walking to school, as well as to ensure businesses are accessible to pedestrians throughout our commercial areas.
Sidewalk Snow Removal Priority Map
Local public service and/or volunteer organizations may be available to help elderly or disabled community members who are physically and financially unable to clear their walkways. Call 2-1-1, or toll-free (866)-904-9060 for information and referrals, or log onto win211.org for more information.
