The Existing Conditions report provides background, context, and preliminary analysis that assisted the City on the development of policies and the land use map by identifying the performance of the City's existing land uses and zoning. It also helped identify ways that the City can consider changing the Comprehensive Plan elements specifically Economic Development, Housing, and Land Use.
The Transportation System report identifies how the transportation network and the surrounding land uses influence the way people travel and how convenient that travel is for commuting, shopping, recreating, and other needs. Based on this analysis and an extensive public outreach component, challenges and opportunities for the transportation network are identified that will be addressed as part of the ongoing Comprehensive Plan update.
The Retail Recruitment report resulted in an actionable plan that can be leveraged by city staff as a tool for recruitment, with benchmarks and performance metrics that will help policymakers monitor progress towards the City’s goals. The goals and strategic actions from the Retail Recruitment report were included in the Comprehensive Plan document.
The Tourism report was developed to identify opportunities and strategies that could be implemented to enhance the tourism sector and tourism related industries in the City. This goals, policies and strategies from this study have been incorporated in the Comprehensive Plan.
