Negotiates and administers all public safety contracts, including law enforcement, jail, and the district court, which total more than $21 million and comprise nearly 40% of the general fund budget. Ensures contract services are delivered to citizens and businesses at a high level for a good value and that all locally generated revenue goes toward serving City of Spokane Valley customers
Interacts with customers to answer questions and provide information on services such as Animal Control and Cable Television.
Analysis
Evaluates current service delivery based upon current and anticipated demand while employing the best business practices and sound fiscal policy to ensure that staffing levels match demand and all efficiencies are incorporated.
Calculates full costs of providing a service so that all costs are recovered for items such as maintenance of the precinct building and the permitting and inspection of the City right-of-way.
