BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, COMMITTEES, TASK FORCES
If you are interested in applying to a board, commission, or committee, please fill out and return the Application for Appointment by clicking here. Successful committee applicants will be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council to fill a specified term of appointment.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AD HOC COMMITTEE OPENINGS:   

The City of Spokane Valley seeks citizens to serve on a temporary, ad hoc committee.  The task of this committee will be to identify infrastructure projects and improvements and other programs to enhance economic development within Spokane Valley. Committee members will consist of two councilmembers, two members representing a business, either the business owner or leader, two members representing tourism, a citizen at large, and a youth member (age 16 to 19).  A committee member need not reside within the Spokane Valley City limits, but citizens who live or work within Spokane Valley are encouraged to apply. Once formed, it is anticipated that this committee will give periodic reports, either written or orally to the Spokane Valley Council, with a final report given four months from the date of appointment.  Mayor appointment of citizens to this committee is tentatively scheduled for April 24. Spokane Valley Police Department

S.C.O.P.E. (Sheriff Community Oriented Policing Effort) is a philosophy and community perspective rather than a specific program or new law enforcement tactic, it provides neighborhood outreach stations and community oriented policing. S.C.O.P.E. members are dedicated to the principle of Community Oriented Policing which partners law enforcement with the citizens and businesses we serve. We proactively address issues which detract form the safety and quality of life for citizens of Spokane County.
