Planning Commission

The purpose of the Planning Commission is to study and make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council for future planned growth. The Commission performs a continued review of the City's Comprehensive Plan, development regulations, shoreline management, environmental protection, public facilities, capital improvements and other matters as directed by the City Council.

Planning Commission Meetings

The Planning Commission generally meets at 6:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, except in the months of November and December, where the Commission only meets the second Thursday.  Planning Commission meets in Council Chambers at City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Avenue, Suite 101.

Planning Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor to three year terms and confirmed by a majority vote of the City Council.
